One of the world's most famous pieces of pop memorabilia, Michael Jackson's white sequined glove, goes on sale this weekend in New York City. Jackson wore the glove on stage at the Motown 25th anniversary special in 1983 when he premiered the "moonwalk" to the world. "It's like the ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz. It's that iconic, it's that much of significant piece of his history," said Darren Julien, the president of the auction house. The glove has a pre-auction price of between $40,000 and $60,000, but with international interest in the sale, Julien believes it could fetch six figures. The glove is owned by Walter Orange of the music group the Commodores. For years the two friends jokingly wouldn't sign autographs to each other because they insisted the other was more famous. After the 1983 performance Jackson gave Orange the glove after Orange insisted the pop star's performance would make him more famous. Jackson's glove and other items go on sale on Saturday 21 November at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.
