Israel defends the use of rubber bullets - 9 Sep 08

They may be coated with rubber but the damage they cause is severe and at times fatal. In the last eight years 21 Palestinians have been killed by rubber-coated steel bullets fired by Israeli forces. Others have been maimed by them. The Israelis say the 'non-lethal' rubber bullets are used to defend soldiers against stone-throwing protestors. Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports.
