Investigation Underway After Deputy Hits, Kills Pedestrian

An investigation is underway after an Orange County sheriff's deputy hit and killed a pedestrian on Saturday night. It happened on John Young Parkway at West Town Center Boulevard just before 9 p.m. Officials said the deputy, James Brannon, 34, was driving down the road with flashing lights on when Shaun McCann, 38, of Orlando stepped off the curb and into the street.
