Industry action to tackle obesity

On 09/11/2006, Marcos Kyprianou, member of the European Commission in charge of Health and Consumer Protection, holds a press conference where he publicly ‘names and praises’ a number of companies for making commitments which are good examples of concret and verifiable actions to tackle obesity. The objective is to show that the EU's Obesity Platform is producing results, to highlight some of the best examples of commitments made so far, to draw attention to the good work being done in a range of different areas and to encourage others to keep up the good work or do more.
