Independents who supported Obama send worrisome message

(NECN) - Nationally, last night was a big night for Republicans in two closely-watched races for governor. In New Jersey, Republican Chris Christie ousted incumbent Democrat John Corzine. President Barack Obama had personally stumped for Corzine in recent weeks. And, in Virginia, Republican Bob McDonnell beat Democrat Creigh Deeds, one year after Obama won that state in the presidential election. Joining NECN to break down last night's big races is professor William Mayer of Northeastern University.
