In Loving Memory

A tribute to Sparta and Kyrian, both of whom are cherished cats, male brown tabbies, who belonged to my girlfriend, Bridgette. Some of you may know her as SirensAfterMidnight here on YouTube. Recently, though between month intervals, she had lost both of her babies... Both of them were lively boys, and beautiful, too, and it wasn't hard to see how they had won over not only her heart, but the heart of everyone who knew or heard about them. Sparta had disappeared a few months ago, however, and baby Kyrian had passed in an accident that occured this past weekend... She's been torn up about it, and it's so painful to not really be able to do anything for her. She's strong and she moves forward, and I can see how hard she is trying to be strong. Oh, no one knows how much I admire her for being able to do such a thing. However, I know that behind that smile that she puts on in school is a whole lot of pain and mourning. To see her clutching Kyrian's tags that she now wears around her wrist and to draw a beautiful dedication to the little one today in her sketchbook, completed with a print of her own blood... that tore me up. I couldn't help but cry during class; I'm not sure how discreet it was since you can't exactly hide sniffeling. And what can one do to ease such pain? Only time can do that, and that eats me up. I've painted a portrait of Sparta for her, and drew a picture of Kyrian as well. But that doesn't ease the pain. Telling her everything's alright is something stupid. What exactly could I do to help ease the pain? And so I've completed this just an hour ago, a video tribute. I feel like I hadn't supported her as well as I should have when Sparta disappeared, and now... I can't let that happen again, and I owe that to Bridgette and Sparta, and I won't let Kyrian slip by. So, this is for you, Bridgette, and for both of you, Kyrian and Sparta. May our hearts be with you always. Edit: Bridgette went ahead and posted what exactly had happened to poor Kyr. I wanted to leave it up to her to do so, since I felt that it wasn't my place, and it can be seen in the first comments for the video. Just as well, I'm going to post it here, too. "I'm going to describe the specifics of Kyrian's accident in another comment for anyone wondering what happened. For anyone watching, the desc. or video isn't specific, but Kyrian was going up under the vehicles and getting caught in fanbelt of my grandfather's truck when he started the engine. The first time, his ear was cut. The second time my grandparents called for him, but he didn't come out, so they thought he was elsewhere. When my grandfather started the truck, however, Kyrian fell out, bloodied, and died soon after. We thought the cat would learn... but it's no one's fault; just one terrible mishap." ~*~*~ On the bright side, there is a plus. I swear it's the first time I really smiled today, since she just IM'd me, like, just now, with a "God brought me a kitty. 8D" X3 It seems like she had a little stray female kitten, only a few tiny weeks old (perhaps four or five) spontaneously came to her in her yard after school today, and she's currently taking care of her. :3 I bet Shaman and Lucifer are real happy about that, the jealous boys. x3 She sounds really precious from what she's told me. ^^ ~*~*~ Anyways, everyone, please post here or on her channel page if you'd like, because I'm sure she'd be grateful for any well wishes for her beloved boys, and I'm sure that they would, too.
