IATA Says China's Airlines Placed in `Intolerable' Spot

Feb. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Tony Tyler, the head of the International Air Transport Association, talks about the impact of European Union emissions levies on Chinese airlines, and the outlook for the global aviation industry. China last week barred carriers from taking part in an EU emissions-trading system because of concerns it will raise costs and impinge on non-European governments’ sovereignty. Tyler spoke with Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin yesterday in Singapore. (Source: Bloomberg)
