After the Giants defeated the Patriots, a bunch of us headed over to Times Square. When my friend Vic suggested I hypnotize someone in the crowd, I approached a complete stranger and within a few moments I had hypnotized him in the middle of Times Square, during the Super Bowl XLII celebration. Special thanks to the volunteer for agreeing to let us film this and to my friend Vic who not only encouraged me to do it, but also recorded it. Nice job! For those learning hypnosis notice the following: --Use of a yes set --Body language --Development of rapport --Changes in the volunteer's focus of attention and body motion NOTE: My interaction with the volunteer--from first meeting him to first hypnotizing him--is shown here in real time (no time lapse). The angle/orientation changes were done while the camera was rolling, without pause. CAVEAT: Hypnosis can seem harmless. However, the danger of hypnosis (specifically recreational hypnosis) lies in not properly learning suggestion formation and the effects of hypnosis, being sloppy with suggestions (not knowing what to avoid doing), and not following strict ethics—to name just a few things. Please be careful. Learn hypnosis ethics, safety and proper execution before you attempt to hypnotize anyone.
