Homeless vets receive assistance

(NECN/WMTW: Augusta, Maine) - Homeless veterans received some assistance on Saturday at the Togus VA Medical Center. The center hosted its 12th annual Homeless Veterans Stand Down event, in which around 60 homeless vets were bused to the center. They were treated to hair cuts and massages. They were also given medical exams and information about employment and how to apply for food stamps. read more
