Hochtief - Paving the Way in Chile

Erecting buildings just isn't enough for German construction company Hochtief anymore. Now forty percent of the firm's business is done in construction services. Now forty percent of the firm's business is done in construction services. Hochtief looks after the financing of its projects and, once completed, their operation. A typical example is the ring road in Santiago de Chile, which was completed in 2006. Hochtief spent 500 million euros building the highway and now adminsters it as well. We visit Santiago to see how Hochtief manages the autobahn and its electronic toll system, and to view the progress on a new 70 million euro tunnel.
