HECO Still Pondering Next Outage

A year after an earthquake set off an islandwide power outage on Oahu, Hawaiian Electric Co. officials said the procedures that stretched out that outage for an entire day are still under review. The lack of any firm policy change after 12 months of review reflects an ongoing debate inside the power company about the risk off restoring the grid in larger chunks of customer base.
