
(NECN/ABC) - Most of England woke up today to a blanket of thick snow and they're not used to it. The arctic conditions have swept in from Russia, in some parts dumping eight inches of snow. It may look like a winter wonderland, but with the extreme weather comes commuting problems. The heavy snowfall has crippled London's public transport system, the entire bus network was shut down, and the subway system was partly suspended. Thousands of schools were forced to close and many of the roads were impassable. read more
