A heist in the US took an unusual turn after a robber delayed his hold-up and prayed with his victim. CCTV footage shows 23-year-old Gregory Smith entering the Advance America branch in Indianapolis, aiming a gun at the clerk behind the counter. Smith forced his way behind the counter, the clerk later admited that she broke down in tears and started praying. Instead of continuing with his raid, Smith hugged the clerk and the pair spent nearly 10 minutes praying. The robber asked for guidance as he was experiencing hard times and has a young child to support. However, Smith then stole $20 in cash and a mobile phone from his victim after removing the bullet from his gun and handing it to her. He later handed himself in to police officers after his mother saw the CCTV footage on television.
