"Racers". This song is an 'underground' classic but it is going over-ground fast in 2007 and 2008 for Greenhouse Effect. This song came off of March 1988's "Global Warming" album by the Redondo Beach California three piece band with the drummer singer that would change alternative rock n roll music of the garage genre....and they would change the game completely! Phil Keegan's angry guitar tones are the key...but then throw on the David Bowie-esque confused depressingly great lyrics of singer/drummer Clark haggins and you have a classic ! This song surfs along as if by the Yardbirds or early Who and Kieth Moon but then there is some Iron Butterfly too and some Little Steven's underground garage style murky feel. There is a hopeless sadness to this song...and there is melody; there is EVERYTHING here !!
