"I want to thank ... all my friends I am just overwhelmed. All my "Damages" [co-stars] ... and my "Shield" colleagues , to have them come down and to take time out of their day, really means a lot to me." Close's newest TV role as the tough-as-nails lawyer Patty Hewes has both shocked and delighted audiences and critics alike.
