Georgian sets a record by pulling almost eight tones heavy military helicopter 26 meters with his ear. The 27-year-old Georgian athlete, Lasha Pataraia, might not be the strongest man on earth, but he may have the strongest ears. That's what he proved on Saturday (October 27) at a military air-field near the Georgian capital Tbilisi. According to the organisers of the event, Pataraia set a world record by pulling 7, 734 kg heavy military helicopter MI-8T for 26,3 meters with his ear. Pataraia, encouraged by a crowd of his family, friends and supporters, attached a rope to his ear. The other end of the rope was tied to the front wheel of the helicopter. Followed by cheering crowd pulled it for about 20 seconds. After he finished, he nearly fainted. But few minutes later, tired but happy Lasha Pataraia, hugging his eight-year-old son Nikolai, told reporters that he is already planning to set another record. "It was very difficult, I was very nervous. But I hope in the future with my both ears to move subject twice as heavy as this one," said Pataraia. The organisers claimed that Pataraia has set both the world and the Guinness record, though a representative of the Guinness Book of Records was not present there.
