GAZA: Israeli airstrike kills one Hamas member in Gaza, wounds two others

An Israeli aircraft fires upon a car carrying Hamas security men in Gaza, killing one and wounding two. An Israeli aircraft attacked a car carrying Hamas security men in the Gaza Strip on Friday (November 2), killing one of them and wounding two others, Hamas officials said. The strike occurred outside a Hamas security compound situated between the southern cities of Khan Younis and Rafah. An Israeli army spokesman in Tel Aviv confirmed the strike, which he said followed Hamas's launching earlier in the day of four mortar bombs at an Israeli agricultural community near the Gaza Strip. Hamas officials said the car was destroyed by the aircraft and all three men inside belonged to its security forces. Hamas Islamists took control of the Gaza Strip last June after routing fighters from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction.
