Israel carried out an air strike in the eastern Gaza Strip late on Tuesday (July 25), missing a group of militants but wounding at least two civilians, witnesses said. The missile landed near a house, one of several that have been targeted by the Israeli military in recent days. An army spokeswoman said the air strike was meant to hit militants who were near the house. But witnesses said they escaped unharmed. Israel launched an air and ground offensive in the Gaza Strip after militants seized an Israeli soldier a month ago.
