Funeral of firefighter killed during explosion at fireworks warehouse

Hundreds of people have attended the funeral of a firefighter who was killed during an explosion at a fireworks warehouse 63 year old support officer Brian Wembridge's coffin was brought to the service in East Sussex on a fire truck as members of several fire services lined the street outside the church. Mr Wembridge who was described as a "consumate professional" was killed along with 49 year old Geoff Wicker during the blast at Festival Fireworks on the 3rd December. Twelve other people were injured.
