British teenage actor Freddie Highmore has premiered his new film in Hollywood. The 17-year-old is racking up a long list of hit films including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and August Rush, and will be hoping new animation Astro Boy is just as successful. He lends his voice to the lead character in the big screen adaptation of the comic book super hero created in Japan in the 1950's. On Monday he was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Bill Nighy and Kristen Bell and said: "It was like being part of a huge secret, really. And tonight we get to let everyone in on it." Astro Boy is released in 3D on January 29.
