Parisians take advantage of the unseasonable sunshine as April temperatures around Europe soar to record highs. Parisians made the most of the unusually warm April weather on Friday (April 27), as the mercury climbed into the mid-twenties Celsius (high 70s Fahrenheit). From Belgium to Italy, temperatures have averaged more than 3C (7F) above the 30-year average and, with no sign of spring showers, pavement sidewalk cafes and outdoor leisure parks throughout Europe reported business was booming. Some cool Parisians, true to their reputation, stayed in the shade, while others braved the sunshine to soak up some rays. The temperature in Paris was forecast to reach 28C (82F) before the weather changes for the weekend, bringing rain.
