Sardinian fashion designer Antonio Marras has unveiled his Spring and Summer 2007 ready-to-wear collection for the Kenzo fashion house. Marras, who mixed elegance and vitality in a show of colours was inspired by a woman on a trip to the desert. "It's the story of a woman who decides to go to the desert," said Marras. "I was looking for and inspired by Kenzo's spirit and his very precise and neat colours. We tried to mix everything and what comes out of it is a silhouette of a brightly coloured woman who outlines against a white background," said Marras. With sand dunes banked up against the catwalk, models paraded with precious cloths and jewels, mixing casual asymmetric short dresses and skirts with elegant pantsuits. Also on view were a collection of tailored jackets. The most daring models wore flowers, foliage and graphic patterned dresses in satin, chiffon, taffetas and organza with intricate embroidery. There were many varied shaped clothes, including round, short and stiff and flexible. As for the colours, Marras used pink, cobalt, yellow, greenmoss , grey and black and white. The collection was a combination of Kenzo's ideals and Marras's bravura.
