I was in America for a college trip to Hollywood, and I attended a special evening at the Arlington Theater (Theatre, I'm British) as part of the 22nd Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Actor Forest Whitaker was basically interviewed about his career, including clips of many of his past film roles, before getting to the big reason and tribute of the evening, where he was given the honorary 2007 American Riviera Award for his electrifying role as dictator Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland. This was filmed not long before he won the well deserved Golden Globe, BAFTA, and of course, Oscar (the only one nominated). The Riviera was presented to him by (for me) unexpected guest, actress Sandra Bullock. The camera is slightly jerky in this, and people stand up, but I managed to capture the good stuff on the big screen.
