Footage of Romania's new PM falling off chatshow stage

Footage of Romania's new prime minister plunging off a chat show stage has become an internet hit. Emil Boc has faced taunts from political opponents since the archive footage of his slip emerged. The film shows Mr Boc, then the mayor of a Transylvanian city, striding out on to a transparent stage only to step off the edge before plunging 15ft down into a pit in front of horrified presenter Andrei Gheorghe. Boc, 42, went on with the show but was treated for a heavily bruised backside later. Six years after the accident, tapes of the show have come back to haunt Mr Boc after he was sworn in as the former communist state's premier last month. Opposition MPs have taken to pretending to fall over when he enters the room and rubbing their backsides in pain when he talks.
