There are serious concerns about the pitch in Moscow where Manchester United will face Chelsea in the Champions League final. When England played against Russia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow last year, the match took place on an artificial pitch, but that was ripped up and replaced with grass two weeks ago.The turf was frozen and imported from Slovakia and it has not yet fully recovered from the transportation. There are brown patches on the pitch and some former players say the players could be at risk of injury if the grass is uneven.Uefa's director of communications William Gaillard said: "We are slightly worried about the look of it. In terms of the quality, we have made some tests in the last few days and it is perfectly fine."It may not look very, very green on television, but, essentially, it is a good pitch to play football on. At this stage, we are confident it will be fine."
