Final farewell for fallen Marine from N. Attleboro, Mass.
(NECN: Alysha Palumbo, N. Attleboro, Mass.) - A final farewell to a fallen hero. A funeral for Marine Captain Kyle Van De Giesen was held today in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. He was killed last week in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. A service was held this morning at St. Mary's Church in North Attleboro, followed by a procession through town and a burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. A candlelight vigil for Van De Giesen was held last night at the football field where the former quarterback led the local high school football team to many victories. read more
