Heart problems put Lester Piggot back into hospital in Switzerland. Eleven-times champion jockey Lester Piggott was in intensive care in hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland on Tuesday (May 15) after a recurrence of a heart problem. British media reported that Piggott's wife Susan and daughter Maureen Haggas had flown to his bedside. "The latest news we have is that Lester is conscious and coherent," his son-in-law, William Haggas was quoted as saying on the Daily Telegraph Web site (www.telegraph.co.uk). Piggott, 71, spent five days in hospital in Suffolk, eastern England, over Christmas with a suspected heart problem.
