Phoenix Contact is a market leader of industrial connection technology, automation technology, electronic interface systems and surge protection. Its headquarters are located in Blomberg, Westphalia and it has been run by the Eisert family for over 60 years. The company registered a turnover of 941 million euros last year and has a staff of 8400. But there is one problem. The head of the company Klaus Eisert is 75 years old and nobody in the family wants to take his place.
