Families' joy at hostages release

The plan to help free the hostages is being orchestrated by the government of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez who has been in direct communication with Manuel Marulanda, the leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC. The hostages' family members left Colombia for Venezuela with high hopes of seeing their loved ones sometime in the next few days.
