In this edition: Larger Than Life The latest exhibition space for young Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos is the Palace of Versailles. Until September 30, the public will have the opportunity to see her over-sized sculptures with a feminist subtext. Vasconcelos is one of Portugal's most successful contemporary artists. Staging Verdi in a Stadium Event planners from the Wroclaw opera in Poland are hoping to attract more audience members during the Euro 2012. And they've come up with a novel idea for putting on a Verdi opera. Soccer City Ukraine is co-hosting the Euro 2012 soccer championship, and tourists have been flocking to the capital Kiev among other cities across the country for a chance to get in on the action. Euromaxx takes a tour of the city's vast fan zone and gets the lowdown on what to see and do in the capital. Heads Up Claudia Köcher’s hat creations have been quick to find a following in her native Germany, as well as in France and Austria. She learned her trade at the German National Theater in Weimar. Claudia adorns her headgear with luxe materials like tulle, silk and guinea fowl or heron feathers. Her biggest dream is seeing designs at Royal Ascot. Designer Evelin Kasikov Originally from Estonia, Evelin Kasikov is now based in London. The creator of CMYK embroidery, her works have been featured in major daily newspapers, design books and magazines the world over. Art Imitating Life Soccer fans who can't get enough of the action on the pitch will enjoy Martin Emmerling’s football pantomimes in public places. The sports journalist and his friends bring every soccer cliché to life with their impromptu performances in Munich.
