The TV chef Jamie Oliver has accused the government of failing to keep its promises on funding an overhaul of school dinners. In 2005 his TV show shamed the nation and prompted the then Prime Minister Tony Blair to commit to funding training and kitchens for school dinner ladies in England to produce nutritious meals via the creation of a new body the School Food Trust. Oliver said that the problem isn't that children won't eat his recipes, but that the money is not going where it's needed. The schools minister said it would take three years to see such a major change in food culture.
