I decided to finally make this video to show how to do a completely correct Chang Ban run and I got a rare horse on it. I had to zoom in to make sure everyone saw it :D Anyways, once you have your rare horse follow these next steps. They are based on the Japanese version of the game as far as how your horse gets experience, but they still all work perfectly well. I have gotten all my rare horses to get amazing stats by following these steps, so you should be able to as well. Just remember, GET AS CLOSE TO THE ABOVE NUMBERS WHEN LEVELING UP AS POSSIBLE. 1) Take your horse to Guan Du on Easy on Free Mode. Use a maxed character with Horsemanship. Kill 50-55 ppl without getting off your horse. Then get off the horse to avoid killing anyone else. Run straight to Yuan Shao and end the stage. You should acquire 1400 points and your horse is now Level 2. 2) Take your level 2 horse to Guan Du on Easy in Free Mode. Use a maxed character with Horsemanship. Do not get off your horse until you kill 40-49 ppl. Then get off the horse to avoid killing more. Run straight to Yuan Shao and end the stage. Now your should have LESS than 3000 pts total and your horse will raise to Lv 3. NOW is the critical moment: there's a 50/50 chance that your horse will gain one property (random from ice, lightning and fire) and one special ability (random from 'Arrow gait', 'Find Saddle' and 'Find Weapon'). You want to make sure you get the property and the special ability you want right now before you save. So if you didn't get property and ability, don't save. Go back to main menu on DW6, click on options, and load previous data. Repeat until you get the combination you desired. I never go for fire property. 3) Now take your Lv3 horse with property and one special ability to Guan Du on Easy in Free Mode. Kill as many people as possible on your horse. Around 100 is good. Then, run straight to Yuan Shao and end the stage. Now your horse will reach Lv4 and it'll acquire one special ability aside from the one you just got when you reach lv 2, random from 'Find weapon', 'Musou increase' and 'Renbu Gait'. Make sure it's the property you want before you save. Otherwise, reset without save and repeat step 3. 4) Now take your Lv4horse with property and two special abilities to Guan Du on Easy in Free Mode. Kill about 100 people, then run straight to Yuan Shao and end the stage. Now your horse will be maxed out to Lv 5. and you'll get 'X Spirit' PLUS another random ability. Make sure it's the one you want before you save. I like to make sure it's 'Musou Increase'. The rank of the horse will change to the title of the corresponding rare horse. If it is a red horse, it will change to the enormous size of Lu Bu's Red Hare. Here are what different rare horses do: Brown Horse Special Skill: Can charge through regardless of enemy type Black Horse: Damage from charging through enemies is increased Deerish Horse: Damage Increase from Shockwave Dark Black Horse: Won't get knocked off Horse White Horse: Swim Speed Increased Red Horse: Speed Increase This proves that difficulty doesn't make that big of a difference (if any) in getting a rare horse, and that perhaps Lucky Lady is nice to have :) THERE!
