Dom Fisher Hips - Bridge Work

Dominic, our resident physiotherapist, begins his series of fitness workout videos on hip health, specifically for those that have had hip replacements. He begins the series by looking at a sequence of gentle exercises focused on bridging, which target the core muscles around the hip. This is a good exercise that can be used for the strengthening of a number of different muscles. Because there are so many muscles involved with this exercise, it is important to do a slow, controlled movement to emphasize the contribution of each group. Some muscles will be doing more of the work and some muscles are working to maintain stability so that there is small injury risk. Get your form as good as possible to get the most out of the drill. And most of all relax and enjoy it.
