Doherty on driving charges

Rocker Pete Doherty has been charged with four motoring offences including driving without an MOT and insurance. The Babyshambles frontman was arrested on November 19 last year when officers allegedly saw him driving his Jaguar erratically near his home in east London.Police charged him with failing to produce driving documents, driving without insurance, driving a car without an MOT and driving a car while failing to comply with driving licence conditions. It is understood police will take no further action against Doherty over allegations he was in possession of crack cocaine when he was arrested. But police have charged two passengers who were with Doherty in the car with drugs offences.Michelle Breeze, 30, a retail manager from Streatham, south London, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin while Peter Wolfe, 38, a songwriter from Maidstone, Kent, was charged with possession of cocaine.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
