Yukio Kagayama of Japan won both World Superbike Championship races in the Czech Republic on Sunday (July 23). Series leader Troy Bayliss crashed in the first race at Brno and was eighth in the second, but still leads the championship with 262 points. Bayliss on a Ducati and Regis Laconi on a Kawasaki crashed on the first corner of the first race. Kagayama on a Suzuki lead home Britain's James Toseland and Italy's Michel Fabrizio, both on Hondas. Japan's Noriyuki Haga started on pole, but finished fourth. In the second race, Kagayama was followed home by Fabrizio, Haga and Australia's Troy Corser. Haga, Toseland and Corser are fighting for second place in the series with 189 points, 188 and 173 respectively.
