CRIME: Civil servant jailed for signing fraudulent passport applications

A civil servant has been imprisoned after signing fake passport applications. 28-year-old Charles Myton, who worked at a job centre in south-west London, was caught during an 18-month investigation by the Metropolitan Police. The seven passports he helped obtain were mostly for Jamaicans wanting to enter the UK illegally. The Government says it is a huge problem and that only a fraction of fraudsters are caught. They suggest this type of fraud is often connected to a network of criminal activity.
