CRIME: Cheadle family murder: father charged

A 36-year-old man charged with murdering his wife and three children has appeared in court. Rahan Arshad was arrested by police at Heathrow Airport on 1st September 2006 after flying in from Bangkok in Thailand. The bodies of Uzma Rahan, her two sons and daughter were found at their home in Cheadle Hulme, Greater Manchester, on 20th August 2006. Mr Arshad was remanded in custody by Stockport Magistrates to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 11 September 2006
