CRIME / BOXING: Former heavyweight champion dies after nightclub shooting

Former British Heavyweight Boxing Champion James Oyebola has had his life support machine switched off. He was admitted to hospital after being shot in the head at the Chateau 6 nightclub in the Fulham Road on 23rd July 2007 . He was shot by three men whom he had asked to put out their cigarettes indoors. During his boxing career Mr Oyebola won eighteen fights, a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in 1986 and the WBC international heavyweight title in 1993.
