CRIME: Bachan Athwal jailed for 'honour' killing

A mother and son have both been jailed for life for the so-called 'honour killing' of the son's wife. The trial heard that Bachan Athwal boasted to her family that she'd ordered the murder of her daughter-in-law. She and her son, Sukhdave Athwal, arranged the killing after learning that Surjit Athwal had been having an affair.
