CRIME: Anti-Social Behaviour: Effects of council action

From teenage tearaways to gangs of yobs - youths behaving badly have become the pariahs of modern Britain and with a new buzzword - designed to protect the public from anti-social behaviour - Asbos, but do they work? Two years ago, Channel 4 News went to Gipton in Leeds to meet teenagers growing up under the orders. An area where the then home secretary David Blunkett once issued 66 orders in one night. Channel 4 News has been back to the estate to find out how they have coped, or all but one, the ASBO was the start of a journey to the prison gates and it's feared a generation of much younger children are heading down the same path.
