Speaking at the research communication workshop: 'Maximizing the Impact of Agricultural Research in Africa', Gloria Essilfie from the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) argues that communication is "about the only way you can maximise impact" from what has been researched. The Addis Ababa workshop was held 20-21 October 2008. It was organized by the Global Development Network (GDN) in partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the World Bank Institute (WBI), and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), with support from the Information and Communications Technology – Knowledge Management (ICT-KM) program of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
