Cobain memorabilia to be sold

Rock widow Courtney Love has announced she plans to sell most of the belongings of her late husband Kurt Cobain.Love, who claims her house is like a mausoleum, plans to hold an auction through Christie's and donate most of the proceeds to charity.Nirvana's famous lead singer was found dead in April 1994 but continues to inspire a legion of loyal fans who have kept Nevermind at the top of many best album lists.But Courtney plans to move on, telling website Spinner.com that she still wears his pyjamas to bed, which makes it difficult for her form new relationships.The rock chick will hold on to key items belonging to Cobain for the couple's 14-year-old daughter Frances Bean. They include a trademark sweater, a guitar and the original lyrics to Teen Spirit.Although Love thinks a bag full of flannel shirts are useless it is quite likely that fans all over the world will be racing to snap up the pieces of nostalgia.© Independent Television News Limited 2007.
