Coast Guard rescues injured sailor southeast of Nantucket

(NECN) - Crews from the Coast Guard air station on Cape Cod came to the rescue of a injured sailor on a ship bound for Belgium. The container ship was about 300 miles southeast of Nantucket when a crew member suffered a head injury Saturday afternoon. The Coast Guard crew hoisted the man off the ship. He was brought to Mass General hospital in Boston for further treatment.
