Climate Trackers: Dragonfly

Here in Belgium, these swamps are called peat bogs. It’s only here, in these very particular habitats, that you can come across me, the dragonfly, answering also to the strange name ‘Leucorrhinia dubia’. We dragonflies have existed for millions of years, but today I feel threatened. Human beings do not stop spreading their hold, reclaiming peat bogs, thinning out our living space. Global warming is an additional threat for our habitats, which are already so fragile. If there is no other favourable site in the neighbourhood, then what will happen to this flora and fauna? Where shall we go? For us, it is more than time. Only a short distance? Leave the car in the garage. Act now!
