South Korean senior negotiator , Chun Yung-woo arrived in Beijing on Monday (November 27) to talk with Chinese officials amid anticipated resumption of the six-party talks. He told gathered journalists at Beijing's airport that talks will start only if all parties agree about the agenda and that talks this time must produce results. "After the resumption of talks, what's important is the actual results. The resumption of the talks will be decided after we see what will be results of talks between Chinese, United States and North Korea. What's more important is not just resumption of talks but the actual results, so we will be talking about date of talks based on this more important element," he said. Chief envoys who will take part in talks for ending North Korea's nuclear weapons programme will converge in Beijing this week to prepare for a formal round of negotiations expected to resume soon. "We talked about process during the APAC meeting in Hanoi and we also talked about how we are going to deal with North Korea, and how to continue the talks. These are not official talks , these are just consultations between parties," Chun Yung-woo said. North Korea said last month it would return to the table after staying away for more than a year on the condition there would be discussions on lifting a financial crackdown by Washington on a Macau bank where Pyongyang's funds are frozen. South Korean and U.S. officials have said the new round of the talks will have to produce substantive progress on implementing an agreement in principle reached in September last year or risk losing credibility. China is urging North Korean envoy Kim Kye-gwan to come to Beijing on Tuesday, the source said.
