Chas on life without Dave
One of the most famous duos in British music are going their separate ways. Fans of legendary Cockneys Chas & Dave will have to settle for solo shows in the next few months as Dave Peacock takes a break. The pair, who have been playing together since the early 1970s, are behind classics like Rabbit, Snooker Loopy and The Sideboard Song. A statement on the band's website reads: "Following the death of his wife, Dave will be taking an extended break from touring. Contrary to news reports he is not retiring from the music business." But it could be hard news to swallow for music lovers who are still coming to terms with the break-up of Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher. However, Chas Hodges will keep playing the band's hits under the new name of Chas And His Band.
