Carrefour faces China boycott

Spokesmen at Carrefour's China office could not be reached for comment. The Beijing News on Tuesday (April 15, 2008) quoted a Carrefour spokesman surnamed Li as saying the company was investigating the boycott calls. The Chinese official media has sought to temper these calls by urging angry citizens to focus on economic development.
