California fires claim first victim

Over 300 fires continue to burn across California weeks after lightening storms sparked a wave of wildfires. In central part of the state fire crews appeared to have gained the upper hand on two blazes burning for more than two weeks in the scenic Big Sur and Santa Barbara areas.
