Busy week for the EC: roaming prices drop & package fails

European Commissioner for Information, Society & Media Vivianne Reding proposed new rules to bring down the cost of SMS roaming. The GSMA was unrepentant in response to these changes when they spoke on BBCs Radio4 programme You & Yours. This week also saw success for the Throttle the Package campaign as amendments to the Telecoms Package failed to pass.
