BUSINESS: ITV reject NTL offer: Sir Richard Branson condemns Murdoch shares purchase: Branson press conference

Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson is stepping up his campaign against BSkyB's move to scupper his TV ambitions. He is accusing the Murdoch empire of a cynical attempt to distort competition, after it bought nearly eighteen per cent of ITV's shares. That could block a possible take-over by cable company NTL where Sir Richard is the biggest shareholder. Includes footage of press conference with Sir Richard Branson at launch of Virgin in-store download service in Manchester, where he talks about Rupert Murdoch's stake in ITV and other media, his own ambitions for Virgin Media, and why he thinks all government parties should stand up to Murdoch and break up his monopoly.
